AAHH... the autumn air! Mornings carry a crispness, evenings arrive a little earlier, and the leaves turn to the most vibrant colors of amber, gold, and crimson. Fall is here -- the season of change, reflection, and getting cozy.
Each year, this season reminds us of the beauty in letting go. Just as the trees let go of their leaves, we too are invited to let go of what no longer serves us. It’s a subtle reminder that endings are not losses, but part of a greater cycle... clearing the way for rest, renewal, and growth.
Gratitude comes naturally this time of year. We pause more often, we get together with loved ones, and we become aware of life’s simple joys. When we shift our attention to these small blessings, we begin to see abundance everywhere... not just in any grandiose way but in the quiet moments that make up our days.
As the season deepens, consider creating your own little gratitude ritual. It could be as simple as writing down three things you’re thankful for each morning or taking a slow walk outside and noticing something beautiful in nature (my favorite thing to do!). Gratitude doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s the act of paying attention, of remembering that even in times of challenge, there is always something to hold close and cherish.
Autumn teaches us to be present and to enjoy the transitional nature of the seasons. As the fall season is here, may we remain grateful... not just for what we have, but for the opportunity to begin again, with each sunrise and each turning leaf.
