Lately, I’ve been thinking more about the connection between what we put on our skin and what we take into our bodies. As we know, healthy skin doesn’t just come from the outside.
Over the years, I’ve been drawn to ingredients that are simple, time-tested, and deeply nourishing... things that have been used long before skincare became complicated.
One of those is Amla! Amla is Indian Gooseberry and has been used for centuries in Ayurveda. Amla is known for its ability to support both immune health and the skin in a very natural, balanced way.
Amla is incredibly rich in natural vitamin C and antioxidants, which makes it especially good for:
- Immune function
- Collagen production
- Skin vitality and tone
- Protecting the body from everyday stressors
We often focus so much on what we apply topically... creams, oils, serums… And while that matters (and I truly believe in using clean, nourishing skincare), it’s only part of the picture. When the body is supported internally, the skin reflects that:
- more clarity
- more resilience
- more natural glow
Everything I create is rooted in the idea that our bodies recognize and respond best to what is natural and whole. That’s why I work with ingredients like:
- grass-fed tallow
- plant oils
- botanicals that have stood the test of time
Using something like amla internally feels like an extension of that same philosophy.
Amla has become part of my self-care ritual ~ supporting both my immune system and my skin in a way that feels steady and natural.
If you’ve been focusing only on topical skincare, it might be worth gently expanding your approach. Why not?!!
